The Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d'Auvergne is the largest regional park in Europe and is filled with dormant volcanoes. The area around camping Domaine La Chabanne, the Montagne Bourbonnaise, offers plenty of opportunities for sports enthusiasts. There are kilometers of cycling and hiking trails, various climbing rocks, and challenging mountain bike routes. The villages are also hidden gems, with old church towers and picturesque streets. The beautiful Romanesque church in the village of Châtel Montagne (7 km) is not to be missed! In the nearby wine region of La Côte Roannaise, the picturesque Saint-Haon-le Vieux, Le Crozet, or Rennaison are absolute recommendations. For a day of art and culture or a pleasant day of shopping, you can go to Vichy (30 km).
