The ski bus stops every 15 minutes and is easily accessible on foot.In summer, nature lovers get their money's worth. Mauterndorf and its surroundings are ideal for hiking or you can take a nice ride on the "Taurachbahn", Austria's highest narrow-gauge railway. This steam locomotive only runs in summer and is therefore a very special highlight during your stay in Mauterndorf. For golfers, a well-maintained 18-hole golf course is only 8 km away, a special experience to hit the ball between the mountains.Very popular excursion destinations are also Mauterndorf Castle, the Silent Night Church Mariapfarr or the alpine village Lessach.
