But the après-ski in Les Deux Alpes is very cozy. Vénosc and Mont de Lans are a lot more authentic and atmospheric. And wonderfully quiet. Both are typical mountain villages with a nice sunny location. With a lift you reach the ski area from the villages. Via a red valley descent you come back to Mont de Lans. Les Deux Alpes is one of the areas in France suitable for summer skiing. The ski area is not ideal for beginners. Most easy slopes are located high on the mountain. The Signal 1 on the glacier, for example, is a beautiful blue slope. Directly above the village you will find especially tough slopes. The higher slopes see more sun than the lower slopes.

In the past you could even descend to the village of Les Deux Alpes on a flat green path or a steep icy black slope. Fortunately, since 2015 there is an easy blue downhill run. This makes the ski area suddenly a lot friendlier for beginners. The connecting paths are a point of interest if you are skiing or snowboarding from top to bottom. These paths are sometimes quite flat. So it is wise to make as much speed as possible towards such a path.
