There is a paddling pool for the youngest holidaymakers, a larger pool for swimming lengths and a pool for just lazing around. The last pool is situated in a beautiful lagoon with a sandy beach, natural swimming water, palm trees and sunbeds, so even though you are not close to the sea, this means you can still enjoy a day on the beach and under the palm trees!Put on your dancing shoesAlthough it's a great temptation to spend the whole holiday around the swimming pools, it's worth looking a bit further. You can play beach volleyball, mini golf and of course a game of jeu de boules. You will also find a supermarket, restaurant and camping bar as you walk around the terraced campsite. You will find everything for your home-made meal, fresh bread and pastries in the supermarket. The restaurant has a variety of dishes on the menu and themed evenings are regularly organised. The camping bar is a great place to be until late in the evening. Games tournaments and karaoke sessions are organised here, so put on your dancing shoes. Canoeing on the riverIf you choose a holiday in the Cevennes National Park, you will expect to see some nature. Well you are in luck, because walking excursions are offered from the campsite and there are also plenty of opportunities to explore the area by yourself. The abundant Cévennes, which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List, are filled with mountain ranges, impressive valleys and forests and are therefore ideal for a good hike or bike ride.A number of rivers also flow through the area, such as the Gardon d'Alès and a little further on the famous Ardèche. One great idea is to plan a day trip to canoe across the river and see the iconic Pont d'Arc (Vallon-Pont-d'Arc is 55 km away). But the nearby towns are also worth a visit. You will find plenty of interesting sights for young and old in Nîmes, such as the Roman remains or the beautiful historic centre. And if you still want to see the sea, you can also do that. Montpellier is at about 80 kilometres away, so not that far.
