Hello, my name is Penke. I have listed for you 7 vacation parks in Eifel, Germany. I am independent & impartial. Use the filter and choose your own vacation park to book for 2024/2025.
The fairytale Eifel region in Germany is a beautiful area to enjoy nature. However, it is an area that is missed by many travellers. A shame! Because the volcanic mountains, medieval castles, forests and picturesque towns make this a very interesting region to travel to. The largest part is laid back and rural and scattered among the vast meadows you will find small towns with eye-catching churches and buildings. We'll take you on a journey to this area which covers large parts of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. And of course, from which holiday parks you can choose in this area.
At least let's start with the good news: you can choose from 7 different holiday parks in Eifel, so there is a holiday address for every traveller. Here we show an overview of parks offered by Landal, Roompot and Center Parcs.
The small town of Heimbach has been recognised by the German government as an aerial health resort since 1974. Located in the valley of the Ruhr, there are 6 villages within the municipality of Heimbach. You will find many old churches and museums that are fun for young and old. At the holiday park Landal Eifeler Tor you can enjoy a beautiful view, situated on a promenade with shops and restaurants. The park has 95 bungalows and 74 apartments suitable for 4 to 8 persons. Of course this park is not complete without a relaxing beauty & wellness.
In the beautiful mountain landscape of Kronenburg in the municipality of Dahlem you can make the most beautiful walking and cycling routes and in the summer you can swim in the nearby lake. Roompot Eifelpark Kronenburger See has romantic bungalows situated on a steep slope and can only be reached by stairs. Please note that this park is therefore less suitable for the disabled. There are various luxury levels to book, from bungalows to luxurious villas. During the school holidays there is a sports and entertainment team present.
The hilly area of Kell am See is great for adventurers who love mountainous views. The region includes 13 municipalities where you can canoe, fish, pedal or hike. The region is known for the 'Hockwälder Kartoffeltage' which is served in autumn. At Landal holiday park Hockwald you stay in a bungalow or mobile home (4 to 8 persons) in the woods, or in a luxury Ranger's house. The park has a small swimming pool and many sports and games activities. You can go bowling, fishing, midgetglofen, pedal boating and in wintertime skating, cross country skiing and tobogganing. In short: there is something for every season.
Staying between the vineyards in Kröv is certainly recommended because of the wide surroundings. At Landal holiday park Mont Royal you have a beautiful view over the Moselle Valley. You will stay in one of the brand new, energy neutral bungalows which all have solar panels and are decorated with recycled items. Then enjoy a glass of wine from your own vinotheque on your terrace. Relax! The holiday has begun. Kröv is a fairly large place with the most beautiful buildings from the 18th century where you can stroll along romantically. The wine-growing community has so much more to offer than just wine. Along the Moselle promenade you will find a large selection of good eating and drinking places.
A holiday park in the Moselle region: the historical villages around Roompot Ferienresort Cochem provide authentic atmospheres and guaranteed romantic evenings. Moselhohe Ediger-Eller is a popular destination for the Dutch and Belgians who are looking for peace and cleanliness. In Ediger you will find many remnants of the old town which makes for a small trip through time when visiting this area. Originally this was a very prosperous region and you can still see that in the monastery buildings, wine farms and patrician houses. The Roompot-park is situated at 350 meters altitude which gives you a beautiful view of a wooded area from your villa. This park is also a good choice for golf lovers: both beginners and advanced golfers can indulge themselves on the 9- or 18-hole course. For the kids there is an animation team present. Keep a close eye on the website: there are regularly nice last minutes on offer.
Stadtkyll is a municipality of 1500 inhabitants located in the Vulkaneifel region on the river Kyll. Just like Heimbach, this town is recognized as an aerial health resort and also here you will find beautiful hiking and biking routes. You can easily travel to the surrounding villages where you can enjoy a delicious meal in the nearby restaurants. Landal holiday park Wirfttal is situated in a wooded nature park with the beautiful hills of the Vulkaneifel as a backdrop. Choose from one of the 209 bungalows, 4 woodlogdes or 7 safari tents for an adventurous stay. Relax in the sauna or whirlpool, enjoy a delicious dinner in the newly designed restaurant and entertain yourself with numerous activities: from mini-golf to archery with the children.
Gunderath is a small municipality of only 130 inhabitants and has a beautiful but wild environment that is interesting for walkers and cyclists. In the surroundings you will find a large treasure trove of castles, churches and fortresses and the museums will give you a glimpse into the history of the Eifel. At Center Parcs Park Eifel you can choose between comfort, premium or VIP cottages, suitable for 2 to 6 persons. In any case, the kids won't get bored at Aqua Mundo. Because of the many activities the park is suitable for families with young children and babies.
In short, the Eifel is a must for those who want a weekend or midweek away, but also don't want to travel too far. The diversity of natural landscapes, monumental buildings and paths and the delicious wine destinations make this a very versatile region. You really have the feeling of being away from it all, whether you're travelling with your kids or romantically with just the two of you. There is something for every traveller in Eifel. The best time to travel is approximately between March and November, but a number of holiday parks are more suitable in winter due to the snow activities. Check the website to see which option suits you best.
