RCN de Noordster lies in the forest area of Drenthe that has remained untouched as much as possible. It lies in the middle of the nature reserve of National Park Dwingelderveld and offers green places with lots of privacy. So you walk along winding paths through the forest to your accommodation. Here you will find accommodations for 2 - 24 persons. The bungalows, mobile homes and lodges, for example, are all detached and have a private garden with terrace. Depending on the accommodation, they are non-smoking and pets may or may not be allowed. If you go on holiday with your pet, you can also choose a dog bungalow with a special dog room.
You can also come camping. The camping pitches are also situated along the forest paths and offer plenty of peace and privacy. There are naturally formed camping fields and camper pitches with a paved surface. There are various sanitary blocks and sanitary facilities for the disabled are also available.
The facilities at the park are extensive. There is a restaurant, a multifunctional sports field and an indoor play area for children up to 12 years of age. Children can take care of animals at the animal farm. A special children's water park is open during the summer months. The recreation team also organises all kinds of activities for young and old. And summer holiday church services are organised. You can also rent bikes at the park to explore the surrounding area. The natural surroundings offer plenty of opportunities for beautiful walking and cycling tours.
This park is recommended for families with children up to 12 years old. For example, there is an indoor play area. You will also find various playground equipment on the park and you can do crafts in the children's club. You will stay in the accommodation of your choice. Choose, for example, a mobile home or a lodge. You can also go camping with your own trailer tent or caravan. Of course you can make use of all the facilities the park has to offer.
Are you having trouble walking or are you in a wheelchair? The adapted holiday bungalows are wheelchair friendly. They are barrier-free and have, among other things, an adapted kitchen and bathroom. You will find a shower seat and a toilet with braces. The bedroom is equipped with a high/low bed. You can explore the wooded surroundings from the park. This can be done on foot, but you can also rent an e-bike on the park to go on a trip.
Do you want to go on holiday with the whole family or, for example, a sports group or a group of friends? Then stay here in a comfortable bungalow for 24 people. It has 8 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Furthermore, each room has access to the terrace. You also have a playground where you can run and play. On the park itself you can join in with the activities of the recreation team.
RCN de Noordster offers various facilities for all ages on the park. For example, there is a brasserie and a baker's shop with a limited assortment of fresh produce. You can also rent bikes in the park. And summer holiday church services are held there.
For children up to and including 12 years there are various facilities at the park. For example, there is an indoor play area. This playground is themed with stars and planets and here children discover space. There is also a crumb trail club with the park mascots for arts and crafts. Furthermore, children can go to the animal farm, the fossil field or one of the playgrounds in the park.
There are various sports facilities in the park. For example, there is a multifunctional sports field where you can play basketball. There is also a table tennis table, a jeu de boules court and you can use the mini-golf course and tennis court for a fee. And during the school holidays and between April and October, the recreation team organises all kinds of shows and activities such as bingo.
For children there is a water play paradise on the park. Between May and open at an outside temperature from 20 degrees. You will find several children's pools with play equipment, such as slides. Next to the park is a heated outdoor pool that is open in the summer months. You have free access to it. At 20 kilometers from the park is an (indoor) pool. On presentation of your RCN swimming pool pass you also get free access to it.
RCN de Noordster offers a wide range of accommodations. These are suitable for 2 to 24 persons. All accommodations are detached and have a private garden with terrace. Some of them are pet and non-smoking. The accommodations are spread over a woodland area, you can reach them via winding forest paths. In addition to bungalows and lodges, you can also choose special dog bungalows and wheelchair-accessible bungalows. A cot and a high chair can be placed in most accommodations. Do you prefer camping? Then you can opt for a forest hut or camping chalet. If you come with your own accommodation, you can also choose a pitch on the camping fields.
The lodge also has a first floor. In one bedroom on the first floor there is a skylight. You can see the starry sky while lying down from your bed. And you have a roof terrace with loose chairs.
If you go on holiday with your pet, you can stay in a special dog bungalow. Here you will find a camper specially equipped for dogs. It contains an XL crate, a plastic dog basket and a feeding bowl. The floor in the bungalow is PVC. The garden has a 1.20 meter high fence. And in the park you will find dog waste bag dispensers at various places.
A group accommodation is available for groups up to 24 people. You have a living area with lounge area and sufficient seating for the whole group. The kitchen is fully equipped including a large stove with oven, microwave and dishwasher. There are 8 bedrooms in the accommodation with beds and a bunk bed. The rooms adjoin a terrace where you will find garden furniture. Each bedroom has a bathroom with shower and toilet. You will also find a number of separate toilets in the house. The terrace also has a playground where you can make use of.
Enjoy the feeling of camping with the comfort of a cottage. At RCN de Noordster you can also opt for camping chalets. Here everything is in the same room, with the exception of the bathroom. You will find a sofa bed in the chalet and a kitchenette. This is equipped with a fridge, a sink, a gas hob and a kettle, among other things. There are beds and a bunk bed in the camping chalet. In the bathroom you can use a shower and a toilet. And the French doors take you to the terrace. Here you can enjoy terrace furniture.
The forest hut stands on 1 meter high poles and has a small porch. Outside you will find a picnic table at the forest hut. The forest hut is simply furnished with a table and chairs. There is also a kitchenette with an electric cooker, a kettle, a small fridge and a jerrycan. With this you can fetch water at the water point near the forest hut. There is a bed in the cabin and it is possible to put a tent next to the cabin. The sanitary building with showers and toilets can be found near the forest hut.
You can also camp at RCN de Noordster with your own folding trailer tent, caravan or motor home. Here you'll find pitches that are surrounded by trees and shrubs. The spacious pitches have a 10 amp electricity connection. Campers can stay on a special camper pitch with a paved surface. You can make use of various sanitary blocks on the site, some of which are heated. There is also a toilet block with adapted showers and toilets for the disabled.
