RCN de Potten is situated on the Sneekermeer in Friesland. It's a real water park where you can have a great holiday even if you're not active in water sports. There are plenty of facilities on the park. For example, there are play equipment for children and a pirate ship. You will also find a beach volleyball field, a football field and a giant draughts and chess game on the park. Of course you can also take a boat, canoe or pedal boat from the park to make a trip on the Sneekermeer. There is also a holiday church on the park. In the vicinity of the park you will find all kinds of hiking trails to discover nature. There is also a bird breeding area around the park.
You will stay at the park in a bungalow, a mobile home, a chalet, a lodge, a safari tent or a modern villa. These are suitable for 4 - 8 persons and non-smoking. The furnishings are always complete and you can choose whether you go for a simple or luxurious accommodation. The detached accommodations offer plenty of space and privacy. And from the terrace or veranda of almost all accommodations you can enjoy a view over the water. Depending on the type, pets are allowed or not. You can also camp at the Sneekermeer with your own tent, folding trailer, camper or caravan. Places including a berth for a boat can be booked.

Do you go on holiday with children up to 12 years old? Then you can camp at RCN de Potten with your own tent or caravan on the pitches. There are some that lie on the water's edge and even come with a mooring. You can also stay in one of the fully-equipped accommodations, such as a villa or a safari tent. There is always plenty of space for the children to play in the accommodation. At the park they can go on an adventure with the park mascots, walk an activity trail or go pedal boating.
Seniors
Enjoy plenty of peace and quiet and space on the waterfront with a detached accommodation on this holiday park. You can also book wellness villas where you can enjoy a sauna and/or a whirlpool in the accommodation. From the holiday park you can take a boat and sail on to the Sneekermeer to explore the surroundings. Would you prefer to hike or cycle through nature and the surrounding bird breeding area? Then of course this is also possible. At the park you can rent electric bikes.
RCN de Potten offers a wide range of facilities. For every age there is an activity to do. At the park a holiday church is organized where questions of meaning are central. There is also a brasserie on the waterfront and you can make use of a sandwich service.
Kiddling fun
Children can have fun playing table football, on the air trampoline or with the giant chess and checkers. There is also playground equipment on the grounds. And they can play on the pirate ship. During Ascension, Whitsun and in high season there is a recreation team that organizes all kinds of activities. Kids can also walk the crumbly path together with the park mascots, doing all kinds of activities along the way. You can also rent go-karts in the park to compete in.
Sports facilities
On the park you can be active on for example the beach volleyball field. There is also a table tennis table and a panna cage to kick a ball. For a fee you can use the tennis court and minigolf. The daytime recreation area also offers swimming opportunities. And to explore the area you can rent (electric) bikes at the park.
Water facilities
You can rent several boats on the park such as rowing and sailing boats. There is also a sailing school in the park. Or you can have fun with a canoe or pedal boat. There are also berths for boats on the park and trailer ramps.

At RCN de Potten you can stay in a wide range of accommodation. These are suitable for 4 - 8 people. The holiday homes are freestanding and are usually located by the water. It is possible to place a cot, a highchair and a baby bath in the accommodation. Furthermore, the accommodations are non-smoking. And depending on the type, pets are welcome or not.
Holiday houses
The bungalows, mobile homes and lodges are either ground floor or consist of 2 floors. They have a sitting/dining area and a modern open plan kitchen. In addition to a full kitchen inventory, the kitchen also includes a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and dishwasher. The bedrooms are equipped with beds, bunk beds or a high sleeper. You always have a separate toilet in the accommodation. And in the bathroom you can enjoy a shower. From the living room you step onto the terrace where you will find patio furniture.
Villas
The modern villas have an exclusive appearance. All details have been taken into account in the furnishing. The villas have a jetty. There are also villas with wellness facilities such as a sauna or a whirlpool. Because the villas are privately owned, the layout can change per villa.
Chalets
The compact, complete chalets are situated on 1.5 meter high poles so you can enjoy a beautiful view over the Sneekermeer. At the chalet everything is in one room. You have a sitting area with coffee table and a kitchenette. Here you will find, among other things, a refrigerator, a coffee maker and a gas hob. The French doors take you to the veranda. There is a double bed and a bunk bed in the chalet. You do not have a shower and toilet in the chalet. For this you can go to the toilet building.
Safaritent
Select glamping with a fully equipped safari tent. You will find a living room with a dining table in the tent. The kitchen unit is equipped with, among other things, a hob, a refrigerator, a coffee maker and a kettle. There are several bedrooms with beds and/or bunk beds. And the covered veranda has patio furniture to enjoy the outdoors. There is no running water in the tent. For this you can go to the water tap or the sanitary building. Here you can also shower and use the toilet, as you don't have a bathroom in the tent.
Camping
You can also camp at the Sneekermeer with your own caravan, camper van, folding trailer or tent. The pitches are equipped with a 10 amp electricity connection. You'll find sanitary blocks nearby where you can use them. You can also opt for camper pitches, these have a paved surface. Or choose a camping pitch at the harbour including a berth for a boat. From your pitch you can sail to the Sneekermeer. There are two camping sites, one near the water and one a little further from the water.
