At the edge of the Drents-Friese Wold lies RCN de Roggeberg. This holiday park has a personal, small-scale atmosphere. It is situated on an extensive nature reserve. From here you can explore the countryside on foot or by bike. Bicycles and mountain bikes can easily be hired on the park. There are many cycling junctions and MTB routes in the area. You can also visit a sheepfold or the beautiful nature reserve Fochteloërveen.
On the park you can enjoy a wide range of facilities to have fun. For example, there is a covered playground for children with a large sandpit. You'll also find all kinds of playground equipment throughout the park. And you can make use of various sports fields. And the recreation team organises all kinds of activities in the recreation hall.
Fashioning with children up to and including 10 years of age will find a wide range of accommodation and facilities at RCN de Roggeberg. It is possible to place a cot and high chair in the various accommodations. There are also special children's bungalows with a children's bedroom. Toys and a children's table with chairs are of course not lacking here. It is also possible to stay on the campsite with your own tent or caravan. At the park children can play in the playgrounds or on the air trampoline. You can also play miniature golf with the family. In the vicinity you will find a climbing tower and amusement parks.
For people with a physical disability or in a wheelchair there are specially adapted accommodations on the park. The wheelchair-accessible bungalows are barrier-free and ground floor. They also have a shower chair and a raised toilet with brackets. In the bedroom there is an electric high/low bed. Because all accommodations are freestanding, you can enjoy plenty of privacy and tranquility in a wooded environment. You can participate in the activities of the recreation team at the park. Or rent electric bikes to explore the area.
For children up to and including 10 years there is a wide range of facilities at the park. For example, there is a covered playground with a traffic track and a large sandpit. There are also playground equipment scattered throughout the park. The park also has a fossil field and an air trampoline. You can also go miniature golf. Or rent go-karts for a trip around the park. And together with the park mascots children can go crafting.
There are plenty of facilities for sports enthusiasts. There is a multifunctional sports area, a sports field and a football table. You will also find a beach volleyball court, a panna cage, a table tennis table and a bowling alley in the park. The recreation team also organises various activities between April and October and during the school holidays. And you can rent bikes and mountain bikes directly on the park.
At RCN de Roggeberg you will find detached accommodation in the woods for 2 -8 people. You can choose from a wide range of accommodation to suit every family situation. The holiday homes are non-smoking. And depending on the type, you can take your pet with you on holiday. It is also possible in (almost) all accommodations to have a cot, a high chair and a baby bed placed.
The bungalows, chalets and mobile homes are either ground floor or contain 2 floors. The spacious living room has a sitting area with large windows and a dining area. The open kitchen is equipped with a fridge, a coffee machine and a microwave. The bedrooms contain (boxspring) beds and/or a bunk bed or high sleeper. You have a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet. From the living room you step onto the spacious terrace. Here you will find terrace furniture. If you choose a more luxurious model, you can also enjoy a dishwasher or a bath.
The children's bungalow is very suitable for children up to 10 years old. For example, the bungalow has a separate children's bedroom with a dormitory. You will also find a children's table and chairs in the bungalow. And games and toys.
Adeapted bungalows are available for people with a physical disability and in wheelchairs. These are ground floor and barrier-free. In the kitchen the kitchen unit is wheelchair accessible. The lodge has walls of attractive wood. The living room is equipped with a lounge sofa and a dining table. You have an open kitchen with a refrigerator, a kettle and a coffee maker. In the bedrooms there are box springs. And in the lodge you will find a bathroom with a shower and toilet. On the covered porch you can enjoy terrace furniture.
The safari tent has a living room with a sitting area and a dining table. You have a scaffolding kitchen with a gas hob, fridge and coffee maker. In the bedrooms you can find beds, bunk beds or a high sleeper. In the tent you have a bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is a picnic table on the covered porch.
The forest huts stand on 1 meter high poles and lie on a field. You have a table with chairs and a kitchenette. It is equipped with an electric hob, a kettle and a jerrycan. On the field is a water point where you can get water. There is also a bed in the forest hut. It is also possible to place a tent next to the cabin. You can use a picnic table. And of the sanitary building for the shower and toilet.
Camping, but with the comfort of a cottage. You can enjoy that with the camping chalet. You have a sofa and bar stools with a table in the cottage. The kitchen unit contains a fridge, a sink and a kettle. In the chalet you will also find a shower and a toilet. The sleeping areas are furnished with beds or bunk beds. The French doors lead to the field where you can enjoy the surroundings.
With your own motorhome, caravan, folding trailer or tent you can enjoy spacious camping pitches. These are situated on fields in the middle of nature and are surrounded by trees and shrubs.
