The Alpe d'Huez is one of the most famous mountains in France. Loved by cyclists in summer and a paradise for skiers and snowboarders in winter. Especially the advanced winter sportsman can find his happiness here. You will find many spicy red and black slopes in the area. Do you dare the infamous Le Tunnel? Or La Sarenne, the longest black run in Europe? Alpe d'Huez is also the place to be for long trips and off-piste.
Beginners and children have also been thought of. Especially lower on the mountain you will find several easy slopes and children's meadows. The lower slopes are often crowded because they are offshoots of higher red and black routes. So the area is fine for beginners and children, but certainly not ideal. Children up to 5 years ski for free. Furthermore, Alpe d'Huez-Grand Domaine is known for its excellent value for money, the cozy après-ski and the great snow security. Nice bonus: with ski passes from 6 days you can also ski for 2 days in Les Deux Alpes or some other ski areas nearby.
