The wonderful holiday island of Île de NoirmoutierCamping among the dunes while seagulls fly overhead and hearing the waves crashing onto the shore in the background, it all sounds so wonderful. Moreover it has indoor and outdoor swimming pools and you can enjoy many great activities.Discover this many-faceted islandÎle de Noirmoutier is renowned for its wonderful sandy beaches, idyllic small towns and extensive nature reserves. The campsite is a good base for exploring this lovely island. You can do this by car of course, but bicycles can also be rented at the campsite. You can reach the island by driving across a modern bridge, but a trip along the Passage du Gois is a more challenging option for daredevils. This road is only accessible at low tide and the crossing is not without danger. The water can rise incredibly quickly as the tide comes in.Water, water, waterCamping Sandaya Domaine Le Midi does its best to provide you with a relaxing stay. It has a heated indoor swimming pool with a toddlers' pool, a heated outdoor swimming pool, bar, tennis court, sports ground and playground. Watersports activities are also organised close by and offer the chance to go snorkelling, water skiing and surfing. Be like the French and do some la pêche à pied, or stand-up fishing. Who knows, you might find some shellfish in the mud. Or go for a lovely long beach walk in the surf at sunset. As you can see, real adventurers will certainly get their money's worth here.Sports activities at the campsiteThere is a lot to do in the surrounding area, but Le Courounba campsite also has a lot to offer, such as a beautiful ecological natural swimming pool without chlorine next to a heated pool with slide and splash pool, a BMX track, climbing wall, a petanque court, a volleyball court, two tennis courts, a bouncy castle, table tennis tables, a games room and a television room. In the mountains you can hike up to the glacier (also suitable for children). The silver mine and cave dwellings of L'Argentière are also well worth a visit. Look at the mountains, discover the flora and fauna and breathe in the pure air. It is truly enjoyable here! From sports to historyFor those interested in history and sports, there are many options. The route national connects the cities of Gap and Briançon, but in between is the large Lac de Serre-Ponçon, where many water sports can be enjoyed. For those interested in the Tour de France, you can take the road at Guillestre to the rugged Col d'Izoard. Other famous cols include the Galibier and the Lautaret, and of course the famous Alpes d'Huez, but it is a lot further away. Briançon is on the route to Italy and is particularly famous for 'Fort Vauban', which you can visit. The old episcopal town of Embrun with its high historical centre is definitely worth a visit.
