The location of the Rosental, on the sunny side of the Alps, between several lakes, and as a neighbour to Italy and Slovenia, is a paradise for nature lovers, hikers, cyclists, and mountain bikers.The Feistritzer reservoir, and with it the Drau river, is near the village centre. A trip through the Baerenthal valley to the Klagenfurter Hütte is an absolute insider tip for a leisurely mountain hike, reachable in about 20 minutes by car to the car park at the Karawanken.
