Mariapfarr counts as one of the sunniest villages in Austria, but is also a true skiing paradise! It is the ideal starting point for the well-known Lungo ski area with the ski resorts Grosseck/Speiereck with 50 km of ski slopes, Fanningberg with ca. 25 km (both less than 8 kilometres from the holiday home), Katschberg-Aineck with 80 km and Obertauern with more than 100 km of ski slopes.There is also plenty to do off-piste in the winter resort of Mariapfarr.
