The location of the campsite means that you can take lovely walks across the mudflats to the mussel and seal banks.Watt'nbad and more... For the sporty holidaymaker there are several cycling routes in the area (you can rent bikes at the campsite). You can swim in the North Sea and windsurfing is also permitted at the campsite. There is a mooring for boats. Right next to Knaus Campingpark Dorum is the wave pool 'Watt'nbad', consisting of a heated outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool, paddling pool and underwater sun loungers, as well as various sports fields, some wellness facilities and many indoor and outdoor playgrounds, including a pirate playground.Trips to museums and ObereversandA quarter of an hour's drive away is Flughafen-Betriebsgesellschaft Cuxhaven/Nordholz, one of the oldest airports in Germany, opened in 1914. A trip to the Aeronauticum museum is definitely worth it.Another interesting museum is located in Dorum itself. The Lower Saxon dike museum shows the history of dike construction on the Lower Saxon coast.
