This beach is renowned for the quality of its water and the clean, beautiful sand. Not surprising that it's known as the 'golden coast'. You can also try snorkelling, windsurfing and water skiing here. Roman remainsYou might get the feeling you are stepping back into Ancient Rome at Playa Bara. That's not surprising, as the town of Tarragona, full of Roman monuments, is close by. You can see a real Roman amphitheatre and a large Roman aqueduct here. You will see Roman elements on the campsite too, but fortunately these are more modern. The swimming pool with a large sunbathing terrace around it looks a bit like an amphitheatre. The campsite also has a small real amphitheatre where you can watch performances.A hinterland full of varietyThere's plenty to see in the surrounding area for those who want more than just sea and sand.
