You can go for lovely boating trips from the south bank of the lake. Feel like taking a dip in the water? Then you can go to the eastern part of the lake. You could also go swimming in Lake Meinhard nearby, or in the indoor pool in the centre of Eschwege.Fun for kidsColouring, climbing, playing Skippy ball, or a life size version of 'four in a row': children will amuse themselves the whole day in the play tent and in the playground! Other extra amenities nearby the campsite include a mobile home washing station, car rental and a health club (entrance fee not included). Right next to Knaus Campingpark Dorum is the wave pool 'Watt'nbad', consisting of a heated outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool, paddling pool and underwater sun loungers, as well as various sports fields, some wellness facilities and many indoor and outdoor playgrounds, including a pirate playground.Trips to museums and ObereversandA quarter of an hour's drive away is Flughafen-Betriebsgesellschaft Cuxhaven/Nordholz, one of the oldest airports in Germany, opened in 1914. A trip to the Aeronauticum museum is definitely worth it.Another interesting museum is located in Dorum itself. The Lower Saxon dike museum shows the history of dike construction on the Lower Saxon coast. When you're in Dorum you shouldn't miss a visit to the lighthouse Obereversand, the highest of the Wurster wadden light towers, which ensures that you have a beautiful view over the sea from the top.Good facilitiesYou don't have to cook for yourself as the campsite has a snack bar, restaurant with a small menu and a restaurant with an extensive menu. On the campsite you can also get fresh bread. The entire campsite is equipped with wifi and for the children there is also a playground. By the way, dogs (provided they are kept on a lead) are welcome throughout the season.Beautiful towns in the areaA little further away, the cities of Oldenburg, Bremen, Stade and Hamburg are well worth a visit. Oldenburg has a large car-free city centre, very cosy. Bremen has a great city centre for shopping pleasure and a worth seeing 'Altstadt' with narrow alleys. Stade is an attractive architectural town with an enormous appeal. The metropolis of Hamburg has so many beautiful parts of the city that a visit lasting several days is in order.

Children will have the time of their lives at the petting zoo and in the play areas while the adults steam in the sauna. There is also horse riding (there is a real Wild-West ranch!), table tennis, tennis, football and beach volleyball. The most eye-catching feature is the large swimming lake with beach and lawn. The perfect place to while away a sunny day! Swimming pools nearbyCampsite Bad Dürkheim also offers plenty for the 'inner man', with a restaurant and pavement cafe, snack bar and shop.
