Many cycling and walking tours can be made from the cottage; the cottage is located on a cycling junction route. Various cycling and hiking routes are available in the cottage. You can also explore the area on a scooter or an E-chopper, for rent at Actief Twente in Beuningen. The nature reserve 'Het Lutterzand' is particularly beautiful and definitely worth a visit. Walk along the meandering Dinkel or cycle through the area and rest at one of the catering establishments. Het Hulsbeek' in Oldenzaal is also a fine area for walking, cycling or swimming in one of the natural swimming ponds.
