It is within walking distance of Infocentrum IJssel Den Nul which hosts a nice museum about this area with brickworks and rich history, including the Cold War waterline, the IJsselline near Olst, a defence line built in the utmost secrecy between 1951 and 1953. At the Infocentre is a restaurant, a natural swimming pool, a garden with an orchard, a water playground in the Lange Kolk and a tow ferry to a walking route through the wetlands along the IJssel. The Hanseatic cities of Deventer, 14 km away, and Zwolle, 22 km away, are also well worth a visit. In our holiday house, you will find everything for a carefree long weekend with family, friends and children. With the extensive play area, the kids will have a great time should the weather be a little less pleasant. There is plenty to do for young and old(er), as playing together on the Activity Wall or digital play table ensures lots of fun! The house offers plenty of relaxation with a football game, a table tennis table, darts and swings. The perfect place to enjoy freedom, space, and peaceOn the river IJssel lies the small villages of Olst and Wijhe; coziness and a small scale mark these places. Meadows, forests, and country estates surround the town of Wesepe. The surroundings are perfect for walks and cycle rides through the beautiful countryside.Natuurmonumenten's info center in Den Nul is in a beautiful walking area. You can take lovely walks along the IJssel River here. The center organizes all kinds of activities or lectures about the history of this area every month. You can find these activities on the website infocentrumijssel.nl.Ornithologists have plenty to look forward to. A good brasserie is available for after the walk.Located between Deventer and Zwolle, Huis te Lande is also a perfect base for a visit to either of these cities. Go shopping for a day in Zwolle or visit the Fundatie, a fine art museum in a beautiful and striking building. Explore the streets and narrow alleys of the historic center of Deventer, one of the Netherlands's oldest (Hanseatic) cities. Deventer is only 10 kilometres from Wesepe. But the Hanseatic city of Zutphen is also worth a visit.If you want something for the children, indoor play paradise Balorig (Wijhe) or adventure park Hellendoorn are highly recommended. Colmschate in Deventer also has a lovely swimming pool.Do you love antiques or fine art?
