Camping Markgrafenheide is located right behind the dunes and you can walk along a short footpath to what is probably the most beautiful stretch of beach in Northern Germany. The campsite is located just above Rostock in natural landscape of about 30 hectares.Countryside, culture and adventureCamping and Ferienpark Markgrafenheide is an ideal holiday destination at any time of the year, whether you want an active holiday or like the countryside and culture. The campsite itself offers many opportunities for sport, including tennis and squash. You can take lovely beach walks here in spring and autumn. You can also hire bikes, even e-bikes at the campsite. The stylish spa/wellness centre has a lovely new swimming pool, solarium and sauna facilities and much more. You can also go to the cinema area. Warnemünde and the Hanseatic town of RostockThere is plenty to see in the vicinity of Camping Markgrafenheide: the lively harbour of Warnemünde, where gigantic cruise ships from all over the world moor, or the old Hanseatic city of Rostock with its parks and Baroque buildings. There are several ferry services linking Warnemünde and Rostock and with the towns in the bay where Markgrafenheide is located. The Ozeaneum (a sea aquarium) is also worth visiting.
