It is within walking distance of Infocentrum IJssel Den Nul which hosts a nice museum about this area with brickworks and rich history, including the Cold War waterline, the IJsselline near Olst, a defence line built in the utmost secrecy between 1951 and 1953. At the Infocentre is a restaurant, a natural swimming pool, a garden with an orchard, a water playground in the Lange Kolk and a tow ferry to a walking route through the wetlands along the IJssel. The Hanseatic cities of Deventer, 14 km away, and Zwolle, 22 km away, are also well worth a visit. In our holiday house, you will find everything for a carefree long weekend with family, friends and children. With the extensive play area, the kids will have a great time should the weather be a little less pleasant. There is plenty to do for young and old(er), as playing together on the Activity Wall or digital play table ensures lots of fun! A holiday by the water: always something to do! Waking up with a view of the Veluwe Lake: it doesn't get any better than this. The lake runs all the way into the holiday park, so at campsite Europarcs Veluwemeer almost all the pitches offer a view of the water. And, of course, a holiday by a lake means wonderful long days of water sports. There's plenty to do for the whole family. This is a great place to enjoy the outdoors.A beautiful Dutch water landscapeEuroparcs Veluwemeer is located on the water of Lake Veluwe at 4.5 kilometres from the town of Nunspeet. This campsite has many accommodations on the lake or on the stream. Wherever you are on the campsite, there is always water nearby. The campsite even has its own beach, a marina and a water sports centre! In the marina you can moor your own boat and at the water sports centre you can learn windsurfing, kite surfing and stand-up paddle boarding. There's also a boat rental. Are you ready for an active holiday?Splashing aroundLake Veluwe has a beach that slopes down slowly, so your little ones can have a nice bare-foot paddle here too! The lake is mostly shallow, so it's not a good place to dive. Fancy some active swimming or a dive into the water? You can do so in the campsite's outdoor pool between April and September.In the areaThe best excursions are within easy reach from your pitch or accommodation. You could visit Dolfinarium Harderwijk, which is 14 kilometres from the park. Here you can watch dolphins from up close! Or pay a visit to theme park Walibi Holland (18 km from the park). Feel that adrenaline rush in one of the many roller coasters. How many loop-de-loops can you do in a day? You can get there easily from the holiday park, and the woods, heathland and sandy area invite you to take the most beautiful walks and bike rides. Who knows, you might manage to spot the big five of the Veluwe?! Guaranteed fun in the waterIf you can’t have too much fun in the water on your holiday, then this is the place for you. You can easily walk onto one of the beaches on Lake Veluwe from your holiday location. Lie on your towel and enjoy the sun, take a dip in the water or play a game of volleyball on the sand. You can explore the water from the marina in your own (sailing) boat, and they have everything you need to learn how to windsurf, sail or SUP at the water sports school. The surrounding area is too beautiful to miss. Nature lovers are well advised to go to the Veluwe. Bicycles can be rented at the park and the Leuvenumse Bos, the Elspeetse Heide and the Speulderbos are beautiful places for cycling or walking. But a ride along the Veluwemeer is also recommended. Another special place is Vierhouten, where you can visit Het Verhiden Dorp (Hidden Village) and then enjoy delicious game dishes in the village. Lovely small towns close byOther fun days out with the family include a visit to Harderwijk, Elburg or Nunspeet. Harderwijk has a historic centre and is best known for the Dolfinarium. Nunspeet is an old artists' village with interesting museums, and Elburg is a picturesque harbour town on the banks of the Veluwemeer lake. You can also make a trip to Flevoland, to the Walibi Holland amusement park for example, with many spectacular roller coasters and attractions for young and old.
