For children there is a challenging play forest, while nature lovers will enjoy the Nature Museum Holterberg with its life-size dioramas. Along the way, you will pass pleasant terraces and have the chance to spot rare animals such as the black grouse, a unique experience in the Netherlands! Also visit a special piece of "Canadian territory": the Holten Canadian War Cemetery. The community donated this land (officially belonging to Canada) to give 1,394 fallen allied soldiers (mostly Canadians) their final resting place during the liberation of the northern and eastern Netherlands.Families will find plenty of entertainment nearby, such as the cosy play farm Dondertman or Avonturenpark Hellendoorn.
