From the holiday home you can be on the beach of Callantsoog in 10 minutesThe municipality of Schagen is centrally located in the head of North Holland. The town of Schagen has a bustling centre. From the holiday home, you walk straight into the centre where you have a wide choice of restaurants, cafés, terraces and nice local shops, a theatre and a cinema.The region is characterised by polder landscape, beaches and woodland. You can cycle from village to village. Each village has its own charm and atmosphere. Because the inland is water-rich, there are many small waters and creeks, and a canoe trip allows you to explore the landscape in a completely different way. The municipality of schagen has no less than 14 km of coast. The beautiful dunes and wide sandy beaches make this a popular tourist region for good reason. Callantsoog is probably the best known. If you are looking for more peace and quiet, go to Petten beach.Culture lovers should definitely visit Alkmaar's historic city centre.
