From the ruins, you have great views of the surrounding area. The castle is a great hiking destination from the centre of Naumburg.Lake Edersee is a large reservoir, near the town of Waldeck. Both are really worth a visit. Nice to combine with Waldeck Castle. This is a castle located on a wooded rocky hill just west of the Hessian town of Waldeck. The castle is located in the northern part of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park on the northern shore of Lake Edersee. The castle can be reached from the town via a road.Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe near Kassel is a large Baroque-style park that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses the famous statue of Hercules and an impressive waterfall, and it is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike.Kassel is also a beautiful city to visit.
