Zoo in BesançonOrnans is a picturesque village right on the Loue. It is known locally as 'Little Venice'. With twenty restaurants there is always enough choice for a nice meal. For lovers of nineteenth-century painting, the Musée Gustave Courbet is highly recommended.A little further afield (26 km) lies the larger town of Besançon. This is the place to be for culture lovers, with its historic centre with several museums and a citadel. The citadel, located at 118 meters, houses three museums.
