Camping Le Carbonnier is situated amidst rustic hilly landscape, but feels like coming home due to the calm and authentic atmosphere that prevails there. However, that doesn't mean there's nothing to do at the campsite! You will undoubtedly easily entertain yourself every day in one of the many swimming pools. That makes a day "at home" not such a bad thing at all!Abundance of water funAlthough the Dordogne is not located by the sea, you really won't miss it at Le Carbonnier. The campsite offers more than enough swimming fun opportunities for both young and old. The recreational lake is the perfect place to relax, and for a refreshing dive, you are welcome in one of the many pools. For the little ones, there is plenty to enjoy in the water playground and the heated toddler pool. For the older ones, there are also a heated indoor pool and various outdoor pools available! On the park's multiple slides, the whole family is sure to have fun all day long. And you can relax wonderfully on a sun lounger by the water.Getting activeThen it's time for action again! For some necessary cooling, jump back into the water for a session of aqua gym, but there's also plenty to do on dry land. Fishing, mini-golf, football, tennis; you name it, it's possible at Le Carbonnier. For the children, there is of course free animation and themed evenings are organized. They entertain themselves during their other hours in the playground or on the inflatable courses on the water.Castle-rich DordogneIn the rolling hills of the Dordogne, you will find plenty of beautiful sights for a day out. The region is dotted with beautiful villages and towns, castles, and caves. And we haven't even mentioned the delicious meals and fine wines yet! The caves of Lascaux and Gouffre de Proumeyssac are a must for the whole family. Towns like Sarlat and Brantôme are perfect for afternoon strolls and shopping. And don't forget the wide range of castles! Beynac-et-Cazenac is the most famous and definitely worth a visit.Quiet family campsiteAlthough there is plenty to do in and around the park, every day you return to a tranquil ambiance at the campsite itself. Since the region has not yet been discovered by mass tourism, you generally don't have to push through crowds of people. Moreover, the spots on the campsite are spacious and the accommodation types range from comfort to exclusive. In the cozy reception building, you will also find a restaurant with a terrace. So, if you don't feel like cooking after your active day, you are more than welcome to dine there. Don't forget to order an authentic French wine to end the day properly. We say: cheers!
