From here you can walk straight into the cosy centre, visit the world-famous castle, taste local wines in one of the many bars, enjoy a nice meal or take a boat trip on the Moselle. The old village with beautiful half-timbered houses, impressive castles and an authentic atmosphere, is very photogenic. From the village, you can walk to the castles or climb the Philippsburg tower to enjoy fantastic views.Another nice place is Beilstein, a charming medieval village on the Moselle, often called "Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle" for its picturesque character.Around Cochem you can also enjoy hiking and cycling.
