You can cool down among the ancient pine trees after a day spent walking round the Italian capital. Rome is literally a step away from the swimming pool. You can even see the dome of St Peter's in the distance.Hours of enjoyment swimming in the lagoonYou will find all your daily provisions at this campsite in Italy and if at times you don't feel like cooking you can enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant. Your children will enjoy hours of fun in the lovely lagoon swimming pool. The ice cream parlour/bar and disco are next to the pool.A good feeling on the golf course or in the discoThe entertainment team will do everything they can to ensure your children have a wonderful holiday. If you would enjoy taking on a sporting challenge with your fellow campers, then the sports grounds are perfect for that. Also really fun: the games room and illuminated mini-golf course. This is an excellent base for a healthy active holiday and for getting your breath back! Leisure and relaxationThere is an indoor swimming pool at Walkenried campsite for an early morning dip. There is an extensive playground for the children and there are several sports fields and a minigolf course. During high season, there is a varied entertainment programme. During the day you can take walks through the woods, past charming and almost medieval villages and centuries-old monasteries, and Saturday evening you can join in by the camp fire and enjoy a local lumberjack's speciality with the appropriate drink. If you come back tired but satisfied after a long day's walk you can relax in the sauna at Walkenried campsite. The menu in the restaurant has German and Croatian specialities. Picturesque towns and villagesVarious excursions are organised from Walkenried campsite, or you can choose to visit the picturesque towns and villages of Goslar, Kyffhäuser or Quedlinburg under your own steam. There is a masseur, an indoor (heated) swimming pool, sauna, solarium, spa baths and a practice for naturopathy. A mini paradise in summer and winterIn winter this is wonderful place for downhill or cross country skiing in the pure mountain air of the Bavarian Forest. The grounds are not called a 'camping park' without reason; you will camp in a real parkland setting. This is also a wonderful area in winter for walking and relaxing. There is plenty to do in the hobby club or mini club, with activities like face painting, crafts, or playing (musical) games together.
