Trittenheim is also nice and central, so you can perfectly explore the areaTrittenheim is centrally located on the Moselle River, a short distance from historic Bernkastel-Kues. It is, therefore, an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Moselle region. A cycling route runs directly along the river. You can board the bike boat near the holiday home. This way, you can sail to Bernkastel-Keus and cycle back. The excursion possibilities are almost endless, but Trier is definitely worth a visit. This is Germany's oldest city with a beautiful historic center. It is ideal for shopping and admiring old buildings and the Porta Negra. Just south of the Moselle is the Hunsruck Nature Reserve. Be sure to head for Idar Oberstein, famous for its gemstone grinding. To the north lies the Volcanic Eifel, where the more rugged nature and volcanic lakes can be admired.
