You will be camping among the dunes on the Atlantic Ocean in the South of France. You can enjoy that wonderful old-fashioned camping feeling at Camping Sandaya de la Bosse. The campsite excels in simplicity, which is wonderful if you want to enjoy the quiet of the countryside. The children will also love it, as they can play undisturbed on the campsite. And they can also have the time of their lives on the beautiful beach.Far away from everythingThe campsite is located on the Île de Noirmoutier headland on the Atlantic Ocaean. You'll be camping on a real island, which will give it an unusual feeling. Two bridges connect the island with the mainland, but even so you will have that 'far away from everything' feeling that you get on an island. Camping Sandaya de la Bosse is a large but wonderfully peaceful family campsite. People come here to enjoy the nature, relaxation and the beach.To the beach on your flip-flops After enjoying a delicious croissant for breakfast, put on your flip-flops and head for the beach. You can take a wonderful dip in the sea or try out your surfboard. The children can build sandcastles all day on the extensive beach. There are numerous opportunities for trying out all types of watersports close to the campsite. How about sailing, windsurfing, kite flying or kayaking? If the children want to go to a swimming pool for the day, the Océanile water park close to the campsite has high slides and a large swimming pool.Cycling, cycling, cyclingFed up with the beach and (salt) water? The campsite itself does not provide any activities, but its location makes up for that. The headland is real cycling country, lovely and flat. You can rent bikes at the campsite, then you can cycle to the woods, salt marshes, attractive harbours and French villages. Grab some lunch on the way, or maybe a café au lait. There is also horse riding close to the campsite. You can take riding lessons and then go with your horse to the beach. If you don't feel like cooking at the end of the day, just walk to a restaurant/snack bar about 100 metres from the campsite.From an underwater world to cultureIn addition to all the 'must-do' things in the area, there are plenty of 'must-see' things. The children will love a visit to the Sealand aquarium. You can immerse yourselves in the underwater world of fish and there is a seal show. You can discover culture from Camping Sandaya de la Bosse, such as the medieval castle at Noirmoitier. The town of Noirmoutier-en-l'Île is attractive with its small harbour, shopping streets and many restaurants. This is all about enjoying what France has to offer, both inside and outside the campsite.

The grounds are large and have pine trees which offer plenty of shade. It has an open and friendly ambiance. Just beyond the dunes you will be on the beach at Fromentine. You will be staying right by the sea, so take your swimming costume! There is also a heated swimming pool and a children's pool and sunbathing area on the campsite, so you can have a wonderful swim in the sun.Clubs for every ageYou will be surrounded mostly by French people at Camping Sandaya La Grande Côte. That's really cool, especially if you want to practice your French. But your kids will not be bored for a minute, the entertainment is in English as well as French, although language is not that important in a day filled with fun games. There are three clubs, one for each age group. And if you want an active holiday yourself, this is the place for you. Learn archery, take part in a fitness lesson or try windsurfing on Fromentine's beach!Swimming and moreYou can have an enjoyable swim in the campsite's heated swimming pool, but if you prefer salt water, head towards the sea. You can have a wonderful swim there, but also go surfing, SUP or try one of the other watersports.Sweet bread rolls for breakfastThis is the place for good food! The campsite has a bar, a snack bar and a barbecue area. Make sure you have time to cook your own hamburger or bake some vegetables. If you like the idea of a fresh breakfast, order some(sweet) rolls from the bakery service. There is an Intermarché supermarket two and a half kilometres away where you can do all your daily shopping.Off to the islandTime to get on your bike! There are extensive cycle routes around the campsite. Go with everyone to the island and visit the salt marshes. Salt is still collected here by dozens of salt workers, and you can have a guided tour in the high season. The Passage du Gois is also very interesting, this road disappears under water twice a day. You might find it hard to believe unless you see it with your own eyes! There is a small amusement park for children at Noirmoutier. It has a minigolf course, a miniature train and bumper boats. And of course you can just go to the beach for a day on the island. Visit the fishing port of l'Herbaudière, admire the boats and sit down at a pavement café. Life is good!
