If you fancy some fresh fish or a ride in a Big Wheel, walk to the harbour town of Royan.The beach at PontaillacCampéole Clairefontaine is located in Royan, on the west coast of France in Charente-Maritime. It's only 300 metres from the beach at Pontaillac, so a perfect location for a dip in the Atlantic. At low tide, equip yourself with a bucket and spade and go in search of oysters and scallops. They're not difficult to find here.Wonderful swimming in the shadeThe swimming pool has a lovely position among the trees, and close to the entrance. People of all ages can enjoy a swim in the shade. A trip out in the car will take you to Les Mathes where a twenty minute drive from the campsite will take you to Zoo de la Palmyre. A visit to the zoo is always fun!
