Drive to the coast and you will arrive in Les Sables-d'Olonne, where you can enjoy looking round the harbour. Be sure to take the children to the zoo. You can also admire the animals in La Roche-sur-Yon, half an hour's drive away. There is a large horse breeder, Haras de la Vendée, in the centre. You can go on a guided tour through the stables, to the saddle makers and in the coaches. Quite special!
