You can relax on the loungers around the swimming pool. Adults can take part in water polo and aqua gym during high season, and if the weather is not so good, you can go to the indoor pool.Nice and busyThere is an entertainment programme for both young and old and you can enjoy a drink at the bar. If you don't feel like cooking one evening, you can get a take-away meal. Sports enthusiasts can play tennis on the new tennis courts. With its lovely swimming pool and the beautiful South of France sandy beaches at your doorstep, you can be certain of a camping holiday with days of fun in the water.A drink by the waterThe campsite is located on a strip of land between the Mediterranean and the Lake of Ingril, so you can jump into the waves at any time of the day. And the Tam Tam Beach Club will serve you a drink when the time is right. The campsite's swimming pool has an unusual shape which gives you the feeling you are in a whole series of small swimming pools. That gives it a pleasant ambiance. After your swim you can relax on a sun lounger around the pool, while enjoying a drink from the bar of course. Your children will have great fun in the children's pool, while you have a relaxing swim or just bob around in the large pool.A pleasant village atmosphereJust like the swimming pool, the grounds of Sandaya Les Tamaris campsite are laid out in an imaginative way. Playmates are never far away.Cycle past salt flats and vineyardsThe area around the campsite offers plenty of opportunities for trips out. The towns of Montpellier and Sète are within cycling distance. You will see plenty of birds and other natural treasures in the inland seas between these towns. This was formerly a salt extraction area. The old salt pans are now protected natural areas. The Gardiole is located further inland, this is a lovely walking area with medieval remains and even prehistoric buildings. And this is where you will find beautiful Mediterranean vegetation and lovely views over the sea. The vineyards producing the sweet Muscat wine are famous here. You really should sample them… Day trips further away include Carcassonne or the Gorges de l'Herault.

These include trips out to Bénodet, Quimper, Locronan or the artists' village of Pont-Aven. Active days out, e.g. canoeing and kayaking on the lovely River Odet, are a great idea. Swimming indoors or outdoorsWhatever the weather, at Camping Sandaya L'Escale Saint-Gilles you can always take a dip in the water park with its water slides and jet streams. One part of the swimming pool is actually indoors and heated. There is a shallow toddlers' pool for the youngest guests.
